Healthy Diet Starts With Jar’d IN Salad House – Paula Cabildo

I am lucky to have a fast metabolism and slim body a few years back. After I undergo two Cesarean sections, I had difficulty losing weight. I started going to the gym early this year and this has helped me maintain my weight.

Aside from exercise, modifying my lifestyle and diet are included to achieve a healthier body. With all the healthy foods readily available almost everywhere, getting fit and healthy nowadays is relatively easier. And when we speak of a healthy diet, a salad will always be on top of the list.

I was one of the lucky bloggers to witness the soft launch of the newest sale bar in Quezon City named Jar’d IN Salad House. The food review held on May 31 in Congressional Avenue. The concept is salad in a jar that offers fresh salad which can be shared and is also convenient to bring with you everywhere.

Here are some of the salads that we have tried:
Cowboy Crispy Chicken Ceasar Salad
Romaine lettuce topped with avocados, cherry tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, and corn and garnished with croutons, bacon bits and sprinkled with parmesan cheese and bacon Caesar dressing.

Cancun BBQ Burrito Bowl (Mexican)
Loaded with roasted chicken breast in BBQ sauce with romaine lettuce as a base. Toppings include avocado, black bean, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and sliced corn. Nacho chips, crumble BBQ sauce and cilantro are added to bring out the Mexican taste. The available dressing are Basil Pesto Yogurt, Bacon Ceasar dressing or Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Vietnamese Banhmi Pomelo Salad
The Vietnamese salad loaded with pork, ham, chicken, tofu or shrimp with crispy sotanghon and pomelo bathed in pineapple Nuoc Cham. It is loaded with green ice lettuce, red and green cabbage with cucumber, carrots, radish/turnips. For the toppings, it contains crushed peanuts, cilantro, and Hoisin Sauce.

Amazonia Grain Power Bowl (Peruvian/Brazillian)
Roasted chicken breast with romaine lettuce as a base with Quinoa or Corn or red rice. For the toppings, it is loaded with avocado, chickpeas, black beans, and cherry tomato halves and sprinkled with toasted almonds and sliced Feta cheese.

Jar’d IN Salad is also offering healthy drinks like lemonade chili, carrot juice, amapalaya-dalandan juice. Soon, it will be serving breakfast meals and smoothies too! Jar’d In Salad House can accommodate 25 customers inside their Commonwealth branch plus 10 outdoor seats in their patio. They are open from Mondays to Sundays from 10:00AM to 8:00PM. For those who are too lazy to go out, they are working on their delivery services and will be available on Grab and Food Panda soon!
