Turmeric is found in every Indian kitchen, and yet we do not eat enough of it. It’s bright yellow pigments stand for happiness and optimism, as it is the colour of the shining sun. Follow these seven easy-to-implement hacks, and you will be glowing in no time!

1. Add turmeric to your egg, soy and paneer preparations.

Sprinkle turmeric onto your omelettes, fried or boiled eggs, and add it to paneer bhurjee.

2. Add a pinch of turmeric to all the vegetables you cook.

Turmeric has many health benefits and adds a peppy flavour to every dish. It complements the natural taste of carrots, peas, broccoli and even mushrooms.

3. Add turmeric to your grains and proteins.

Mix turmeric with your bread or grain that you consume. It can also give a lovely twist to your everyday curry or lentils.

4. Put a pinch of turmeric on your salad.

Take a little bit of turmeric, and top your salads with it. It will add a peppery flavour to your potato salads, coleslaw and mixed greens.

5. Use turmeric in soups.

Vegetable or chicken broths, soups, stews and potpourris all taste better if a little turmeric is added to it.

7. Use turmeric in teas and ‘Golden Milk’

Since ancient times, turmeric has been used in teas and milk. Putting turmeric in hot cow milk or coconut milk makes for a perfect drink for winters, and has now gained fame under the term ‘Golden Milk’.
