Or you could, of course, just eat the right food. That might do it.
My aim here is a little different though. Instead of trawling for every single piece of Internet noise about stress-busting foods, I thought I’d find just a few elements. Combined, these foods should help you reduce stress on a consistent basis.
There’s just three of them, for God’s sake.
So let’s give it a whirl…
The green stuff, namely vegetables, has always been viewed as healthy and ‘good for you’. Speaking as someone who avoids salad like the forest food it is, I can’t relate. But scientists don’t really care about what I think.
So go buy some greens. Today.
Compare that to a doughnut, which has super fast, energy spiking carbs in it that could make stress more painful, and it’s clear that a slow and measured lift in mood is preferable.
Blueberries are our final choice today.
Let’s get real here and admit that blueberries are sweet, but they’re not as sweet as grapes, for example.
They’re tasty, but they’re not the mouthwatering kind of tasty. However, stick them in some of those oats you’ve just prepared and they definitely add a zing to the meal. And the best news is that those blueberries are packed full of antioxidants, blasting away at free radicals.
All of that means you’re helping your body tackle stress.
