Next time you get an opportunity, try taking the stairs instead of blindly following the crowd…

Next time you get an opportunity, try taking the stairs instead of blindly following the crowd waiting for the elevator to arrive. If you observe carefully, you will notice, most of the times while waiting for the elevator, people are either just staring into the space (wondering how to break the silence with the person next to them) or looking at their phones in anticipation or pretense that there is a text or a meeting invite seeking their attention right at that very moment. You could either continue doing that or take a stab at taking the stairs and experience the lift in your legs, the rise in your heart rate, and the rhythm in your breathing. And in case, you are going through FOMO syndrome by not joining your friends or peers on the elevator… hey! Take them with you. I am sure you will end up talking more interesting stuff than the standard elevator talk. Also, you will be amazed at the amount of time you will save during peak elevator times 😊

Of course, whenever in doubt about your health condition always check with your doctor before starting a new health routine, but in most cases taking stairs may turn out to be a better option. Taking the stairs once daily may not yield you great results instantaneously, but it will take you one step closer to making a better choice for your long-term health and fitness goals. You will be surprised by the level of strength and discipline you gain by following these small health routines.

Remember! Best IDEAS come to US only when we BREAK out of the OLD ROUTINES. Keep rocking! 😊
