Endocannabinoid System (ECS) And how it interacts with CBD

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) plays a crucial role in regulating our physiology, mood, and everyday experience. This system in our bodies comprised of receptors that have been said to interact exclusively with cannabinoids like CBD and THC. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that trigger cannabinoid (and other) receptors. We have (at least) two types of cannabinoid receptors:

CB1 which is in the central nervous system (brain and nerves of the spinal cord)

CB2 which is in the peripheral nervous system (nerves in your extremities), the digestive system, and specialized cells in the immune system

Through these receptors, ECS helps to regulate functions like appetite, digestion, inflammation, memory, pain etc. Research has indicated that when CBD bonds with the CB1 or CB2 receptors, it is possible to alter and or improve the capabilities of that receptor by restoring balance within the body and improving the receptors functionality.

When researching maximum daily dosage of CBD, we found in large doses, it can inhibit the metabolizing properties of P450, temporarily neutralizing the effects of other medicinal products in the body’s system. Cannabidiol and other cannabinoids are known to be non-toxic, with no known fatal overdose levels ever reported.
