Lee Labrada is an IFBB Hall of famer who’s professional career extended from 1986–1995. He won 22 bodybuilding titles in this time span, and consecutively placed within the top four at the biggest bodybuilding show, The Olympia.
I initially planned to speak only on his posing and physique, but as I look through information I see that he has continued to achieve highly as an entrepreneur and health and fitness expert. He is a testament to what I aspire to accomplish in a lifetime. Great feats as both an athlete and businessman.
Lee created a presence on the stage. He brought a completed physique with mass, symmetry, fullness, balance, shreds and grace. His performances are legendary, and he is remembered for this exceptional ability. People say that his presentation is a form of art, and I agree. Bodybuilding is art, he provided a product completed by presentation. The fluidity of his movement resemble almost a dance routine.
During his era, great posing was the standard. Now, it is working it’s way back into the culture, as well as tight midsections.
Labrada went on to found Labrada Nutrition in 1995, out of his passion to help others achieve their health and fitness goals. He led this privately owned company to become one of the fastest growing, reaching inc. 500 heights in 6 years. In 2002 he was appointed Fitness Czar for Houston by Mayor Brown where he helped initiate “Get lean Houston!”, helping Houston drop the title “Fattest City in America”.
